Remove your podcast
You can remove your podcast from Pond yourself, in Pond for Podcasters. You claim the show first, so that we know the request comes from the person it belongs to, and then removal is one button.
It is deeply important to Justin and Jack that your work is not used without your permission. Pond reads public RSS feeds to stay up to date with your podcast and its episodes. Pond does not and will never train AI systems with your work without your explicit consent, credit, and compensation.
How to remove your podcast
- Open podcasters.audiopond.net and search for your podcast.
- Claim it. We email a six-digit code to the address published in your RSS feed, and you enter the code to verify that you receive mail there.
- A person at Pond reviews the claim and approves it.
- Open your podcast, go to Settings, and click Remove my podcast from Pond. We email a second code, this one to the address you signed in with. Entering it removes the podcast.
What removal does
- Pond stops reading your feed, and your podcast and its clips come off Pond.
- Earnings to date stay payable. Removing your podcast does not give up money it has already earned.
- You can opt back in later, from the same settings page. Resuming re-processes episodes from your RSS feed; what Pond had built from your podcast before removal is not restored.
If you cannot claim your podcast
Claiming needs an email address in your feed that you can read mail at. If your feed publishes none, or it goes somewhere you cannot reach, email hello@pondaudio.app with the name of your podcast and the URL of its feed, and we will remove it for you.
